The entire world is in turmoil right now, reeling under the onslaught of Coronavirus, the COVID-19. Was this a good time to announce the birth of our organisation?

Well, we certainly couldn’t time it any otherwise. The registration of the Chess Players Forum took us months, and getting it compliant with the Income Tax regulations of India. Hence, the Managing Committee and staff worked tirelessly for the past few months to get the Forum to this opening. But little did we know at that time, that the world will be reeling under the deadly threat of the Virus.

However, it also had its bright side that, we do have the undivided attention of the Indian Chess fraternity as we announce our birth. One way or another, we have announced our arrival at a unique time…
