Life Membership

Chess Players with the title of Grandmaster, Women Grandmaster, International Master and Women International Master from FIDE, and any player who has represented India as an official entry in Open / Women section at any Asian / World level Chess Championship shall be eligible to become a Life Member of the Chess Players Forum by paying Rs. 6000/- (Rupees Six thousand only) as one time membership fee. The player must be a ‘Major’ (i.e having completed 18 years of age) male or female. Life members shall be eligible to vote in all the Meetings.

Ordinary Membership

Any chess player who has participated in chess tournaments can become an Ordinary Member by paying Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred only) for the financial year 2020-2021. The Fees for ordinary membership has to be paid within two month of commencement of each financial year. The player must be a ‘Major’ (i.e having completed 18 years of age) male or female and will have voting rights for electing their representative in the Managing Committee provided he or she becomes a member within 6 months from registration of the society i.e before 03rd July 2020. Thenafter, Ordinary Members of the forum will gain such voting rights only if they remain members of the forum for two consecutive years.

Patron Membership

Any person who has not played chess but have been involved in supporting chess and organization can become Patron Members for life time by depositing Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) as one time membership fee. The applicant must be a ‘Major’ (i.e having completed 18 years of age) male or female and will have voting right only for electing their representative in the managing committee.

Associate Membership

Any Person who has not played chess but has been associated with chess in India in the capacity of Coach, Arbiter, Volunteer and Reporter or in any other capacity can apply for Associate membership by depositing Rs.1,500/- (Rupees One thousand Five hundred rupees) per financial year. He or She must be a ‘Major’ (i.e having completed 18 years of age) male or female and will have voting right only for electing their representative in the managing committee.

Institutional Membership

Any Club, Academy, Foundation, Association or Trust associated with chess can become Institutional Members of the forum by paying fees of Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two thousand only) per financial year. The Institutional Member shall resolve and nominate one of their managing committee member/ trustee as their representative to vote. They can vote only for electing their representative in the managing committee.

Kindly Note:

All memberships must be nominated by Two existing Life Members and approved by the Managing Committee. Hence, in the online Registration forms, kindly mention the names of any Two of the Life Members as reference towards your membership.
